The Dark Web has become an arena where the cat and mouse game between authorities and those who exploit a child’s innocence continues. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports that as of January 2015, its CyberTipline received more than 3.3 million reports of suspected child sexual exploitation since it was launched in 1998. Memex, a powerful new search engine developed by DARPA has given U.S. law enforcement the ability to root out the elusive miscreants who trade in the most depraved corners of the Dark Web.

As well as allowing anonymous browsing, Tor lets people host websites only accessible through the network. These sites, which end in the suffix .onion rather than .com, protect both the visitor to the site and its owner by disguising their IP addresses, as well as the physical location of the site servers.

Sites such as these are part of the deep web: the section of the internet unavailable to normal search engines such as Google. The deep web contains lots of boring stuff, such as banal databases. A part ​of the deep web, though, has been used for criminal purposes: drug ​sites, weapon vendors and pedophilia sites, organ selling, assassins for hire, money laundering.

 

One guide listed on The Hidden Wiki, called ‘Your Own Pedo Site,’ is aimed at those who want to use Tor hidden services to distribute child abuse material.

There is evidence of pedophiles using other hidden site systems too. Child abuse material exists on both I2P, a true​ly decentralized network, and Freenet, which can allow people to only connect to known ​associates, increasing their privacy.

But while plenty of attention has been given to the deep web, some child abusers have gone even further.

“There are people who are running private networks, private servers, that are very difficult to hunt down,” 

Hosting websites on the deep web was a logical next step. One site, ‘The Love Zone,’ has been running since December 2010, making it one of the longest-lasting of any hidden service, according to a post on the Hidden Wiki.

The Dark Web interests law enforcement not only because of its large community of pedophiles but also because organized crime, terrorists, money laundering and the illegal drug trade have proliferated in its dark abyss.

Only 12 months ago our own organization made a report to the Australian Federal police with accounts on Facebook spying on children, using the TOR net work for child pornography. One of the reasons we are absolutely not fans of Facebook at all. Also just months ago we also made a report to the FBI and Twitter that persons sharing R rated pictures, videos to minors on twitter and social media. 
Our vigilant advocates screen shot the material and kept detailed information of the accounts that were sharing this with minors. In other articles on our site we tell you the franchise who was doing this...a persons franchise who has four sexual abusive books and one movie out. This is a Federal crime and was reported to the FBI.

Facebook have done little to combat this crime on its social platform. It is basically a compete waste of time making reports to Facebook, because they are ignored. Go to your local online law enforcement instead.

If you see anything suspicious on Facebook, twitter, social media of any sort or the internet in general take a snapshot, make a report to online Law enforcement in your country.

Be vigilant with your children on the internet, they could be targeted by sexual predators, sex traffickers. These predators pretend to be a child when really they are an adult, luring in your child.
